As the countdown to the Qatar 2022, FIFA World Cup continues, Notjustok has decided to highlight some of the best players that have missed out of the FIFA World Cup.

George Best – (Northern Ireland)

The Northern Irish professional footballer who played as a winger, spending most of his club career at Manchester United. He is regarded as one of the best players in the history of the sport, despite his fantastic form, he did not play in any FIFA World Cup.

Erling Haaland – (Norway)

The Manchester City forward player missed out on the FIFA World Cup that will be hosted in Qatar later this year. Haaland is just 22-year-old, he has a lot of years of him and could be part of the next World Cup in 2026.

George Weah – (Liberia)

The 1995 Ballon d’Or winner was in fantastic form while he played for AC Milan but was only able to play in two Africa Cup of Nations missing out on the FIFA World Cup. He is serving as the president of Liberia, in office since 2018. Prior to his election to the presidency, Weah served as Senator from Montserrado County.

Eric Cantona – (France)

The former Manchester United player is one of the best players that never played at the FIFA World Cup. He was left out of the 1994 and 1998 World Cup despite his amazing form for the Red Devils.

Alfredo Di Stefano – ( Argentina )

Alfredo Di Stefano

He is one of the best players that ever played the beautiful game of football. He is the player who has had the biggest impact on the history of football. He arrived at Real Madrid in 1953 and completely changed the club. However, he never played at the FIFA World Cup.

Ian Rush – ( Wales )

Ian Rush

The Liverpool legend is one of the best player that missed out of the FIFA World Cup. He played for Liverpool from 1980–1987 and 1988–1996. He is the club’s all-time leading goalscorer, having scored a total of 346 goals in all competitions at the club
