The Russian Billionaire had all his assets in the United Kingdom frozen because of the recent attack by the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, on Ukraine. Abramovich had no choice but to sell Chelsea and was not allowed to take a penny from the sale of the club.

WHO IS TODD BOEHLY?

Todd Boehly is an American mogul and a billionaire who took over as the owner of Chelsea Football Club on Friday, May 6th, 2022. He is married to Kate Boehly, the couple is blessed with three children who are named, Nick, Zach and Clay.

He is currently the interim CEO of the Holywood foreign press association as of October 2021 and co-owns 20% of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Boehly joined Guggenheim Partners in 2001, his quest to emerge as a billionaire started in 2015 when he invested in some of the assets he collected at Guggenheim. He also went on to own a technology company in real estate and got involved in the food industry.

The supporters of Chelsea Football Club will hope the arrival of the American brings as much success that the club enjoyed under Roman Abramovich.
