The poor start to the season of Chelsea Football Club continued in their latest Premier League game against Southampton.

BUKAYO SAKA BREAKS SILENCE ON HIS FUTURE AT ARSENAL

The Blues suffered their second defeat of the season away at the Saint Mary’s Stadium on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022. However, the captain of Chelsea, Cesar Azpilicueta, has reflected on the defeat against the Saints, according to him the team have not started the season on a good note.

It is clear that it is not a good start. This is a reflection of inconsistency in the games where we had good spells but we were not able to get something. Some games we played well and others not so well. We need to find the consistency to keep winning games. That is what will take us higher to where we want to be. We are a team that will reflect on what we do, and what we can improve as a group and individually. We have to be honest with ourselves, we know that we can do better and from there we have to work hard, we need to get back to winning ways.

The only positive for Chelsea this season is Raheem Sterling has found his scoring form as he had been able to score three goals in his last two games.
