Burna Boy Joins Wizkid And Davido As The Only Nigerians To Do This

Burna Boy has joined the elite class of artists, Wizkid, Davido, CKay and Tems, as the only Nigerian artists in history to achieve this.

Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido and CKay have all set an incredible record in the US as the only Nigerian artists to sell over one million units in the US, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Burna Boy was the latest addition to the list of artists that have already achieved this as his hit single 'Ye,' received its Platinum certification in the US by the RIAA on Thursday, January 26, 2023, following its release in August 2018. The hit song 'Ye' received its gold certification on the 3rd of May 2021.

Wizkid and Tems also received the platinum certification for the hit song 'Essence,' CKay with the smashing song 'Love Nwantiti' and Davido with the classic song 'Fall.'
