#TheBest: See the Winner of the 2022 FIFA Best Goalkeeper Award

The body governing football in the world, FIFA has announced the winner of the 2022 goalkeeper award.

FIFA named Aston Villa's number-one shot-stopper, Eminialo Martinez has been announced as the winner of the 2022 best goalkeeper award.

The South American was a key part of the Argentina's success at the just concluded 2022 FIFA World Cup which was hosted in Qatar.

The award ceremony was organised in Paris, France on Monday, February 27th, 2023 after last year's virtual event took place in FIFA's Zurich headquarters due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He beat Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois and Morocco's goalkeeper, Yassine Bounou to win the award.
