Latest Update on Erling Haaland's Injury Ahead of Liverpool Clash

The most anticipated news for the supporters of Manchester City has finally been brought to their ears concerning the fitness of Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian withdrew from Norway's camp during the International break due to an injury he picked up in the FA Cup 6-0 demolition of Burnley. Sky Sports News confirmed that Haaland was not seen in training today ( Thursday, March 30th, 2023) ahead of the early kick-off against Liverpool on Saturday, April 1st, 2023.

Erling’s father Alfie Haaland gave an update on the situation of his Son during the International break, describing the situation as ‘touch and go’.

Firstly, I am not a doctor, and secondly, I think it’s ‘touch and go’, yes. You can’t just go two weeks without training and then jump right into a fight. There must be a progression there. Man City can gamble, but if he doesn’t get proper training with the team, then he won’t play. It’s about how he responds to treatment in the next few days. He needs a lot of care and knuckling. There are many sprints and a lot to move.

Phil Foden was also absent from training following his recovery after undergoing surgery for acute appendicitis, an issue that could rule him out for up to six weeks.

However, Manchester City supporters will hope they can get maximum points against Liverpool as they look to reduce the points deficit between themselves and league leaders, Arsenal.
