Ivan Toney Breaks Silence on His 8 Months Suspension

Brentford forward player, Ivan Toney has reacted to the decision of the Premier League to suspend him for eight months due to his betting scandal.

The 27-year-old was found guilty of breaching over 100 betting rules in the Premier League. He sent a message to the supporters of Brentford, reassuring them that he would be back soon.

He tweeted,

Cream always rises, remember that. Back soon.

Toney has been in fantastic form for Brentford in the past three seasons, finding the back of the net 68 times in 124 games. The absence of the English International will be a big blow for the Bees going into the first half of the Premier League next season ( 2023/24).

He scored 31 goals in his debut season in the Championship which helped Brentford secure Premier League promotion.
